# Prime Cash (Powered by Green Dot Network®)

Treasury Prime has partnered with [Green Dot®](https://www.greendot.com/) to deliver Prime Cash, making it easier than ever for your customers to add funds to their accounts using cash at 90,000+ participating retail locations nationwide. This integration provides a convenient, accessible funding option for end users seeking cash-based transactions.

Prime Cash is designed to expand financial access and provide flexible funding options for your customers, whether they're individuals or businesses. To get started with this integration, contact your partnered bank and/or Treasury Prime Relationship Manager.

## **Enhancing Account Funding with Cash Access**

With Prime Cash, your customers can seamlessly add funds to their Treasury Prime accounts at thousands of convenient retail locations. Whether your end users shop at major retailers like Walmart<sup>®</sup>, CVS<sup>®</sup>, or 7-Eleven<sup>®</sup>, Prime Cash (Powered by Green Dot) enables them to fund their accounts with just one integration. Here are some of the benefits for end users:

  * Funds are typically available in your customers' accounts within 15 minutes of completing a transaction at a participating retailer.

  * Enable customers who prefer cash transactions or lack access to traditional funding methods to easily add funds to their accounts.

  * Your customers can locate nearby participating retailers, generate a barcode, and complete their transaction in minutes—all through your application interface.

## **Product Availability**

Prime Cash is available upon Bank approval and subject to availability. Contact your Bank Partner and/or Treasury Prime Relationship Manager to confirm availability and begin implementation.

## **Customer Experience**

### **Barcode-Based Funding**

1. **Locate a Participating Retailer**
   * Within your application, your end customer can browse participating retailers in the Green Dot Network and locate nearby locations using the store location lookup feature.
2. **Generate a Unique Barcode**
   * Your customer selects the specific retailer where they'll add funds and  generates a unique barcode in your application to show the retailer.
     * Please note: Adding cash via barcode at Walmart<sup>®</sup> is completed at a Money Service or Customer Service desk.
3. **Complete the In-Store Transaction**
   * The cashier scans the barcode and accepts the cash from your customer, and provides a receipt.
4. **Retailer Fee**
   * Each participating retailer will assess a fee directly to your end customer that will be immediately deducted from the amount added in each transaction. If desired, fintechs can cover the load fee on behalf of their customers.
   * **Example:** Assuming the retailer fee is up to \$4.95, if your customer wants to add \$50 to their account and hands the cashier \$50, \$45.05 will be credited to their account. If they hand over \$54.95, \$50 will be added.
5. **Account Funding**
   * Cash funding transactions are subject to a \$20 minimum and cannot exceed daily and per-transaction limits as described below or defined by the bank partner.
   * Your customer will see the funds in their account within minutes.

### **Dispute Resolution**

If your customer reports an issue with a cash funding transaction, Treasury Prime will work with Green Dot to ensure resolution. Contact Treasury Prime Support for any cash load-related inquiries.

## Identifying Prime Cash transactions

You can identify Prime Cash transactions on accounts by checking the `greendot_id` field in the [Transaction](/reference/get_transaction-id) object. The `type_source` field on transactions is set to `greendot` for Prime Cash deposits. You can use this field to filter account transactions by payment type.

## **Limits**

In addition to any limits set within your Treasury Prime account configuration, Green Dot's network enforces the following standard limits for barcode-based funding transactions:

**Dollar Limits:**

* Per transaction: \$20 - \$500 at most retailers, \$1,000 at Walmart
* Daily (rolling 24 hours): \$1,500
* Weekly (rolling 7 days): \$3,500
* Monthly (calendar 30 days): \$5,000

**Count Limits:**

* Daily (rolling 24 hours): 4 transactions
* Weekly (rolling 7 days): 7 transactions
* Monthly (calendar 30 days): 20 transactions

**Note:** These limits represent Green Dot's network standards and are subject to change or adjustment based on bank partner approval. Additional limits may apply based on your specific account configuration or your bank sponsor’s requirements.
