Card products are configurations that define the settings and behavior of cards being issued. They control things like Card Auth Loop Endpoints and Card Controls.

Bank Identification Number (BIN)

Every card product is associated with a Bank Identification Number, which forms the leading digits of the primary account number (PAN) of every card issued from that product. Card product responses include a bin_prefix field that returns this value, so you can identify the BIN in use without inspecting an issued card’s PAN. Use bin_prefix to:
  • Confirm which BIN a card product is configured against before issuing cards.
  • Reconcile card program configuration with network and processor records.
  • Display the BIN alongside other card product details in internal tooling.
The BIN is also shown on the card product detail view in the Treasury Prime Console.
