Opening Accounts with OneKey
OneKey Banking customers use theaccount_product_id to specify at which bank within their OneKey solution they would like to open the account. Fintech customers who apply for an account may select the bank where the account will be opened using the /account_product/:id endpoint. The name field returned by these endpoints should indicate which bank the account product belongs to. For example, "Standard Individual Checking (Bank X)" indicates that the account product belongs to Bank X.
| Step | Action | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Fintech is live with a single primary bank | The company opens accounts using a Treasury Prime-provided account_product_id. |
| 2 | Complete agreement with additional bank | Once the new bank agreement has been fully executed, Treasury Prime will provide the company with an additional account_product_id that corresponds with the new bank. |
| 3 | Open accounts across both banks | Now that the company has two banks, they will use the account_product_id that corresponds to the destination bank when opening accounts. |
| 4 | Once open, use accounts as usual | The accounts have been opened at the proper institutions. Now the company can use the accounts just as they would have at a single bank. |
